Where to eat in Ocean Isle Beach

Seafood is the local habit, including the light, sweet fried style named for Calabash, a mainland town farther west. Ocean Isle's own strip is small and huddled near the causeway.

A lot of dinners happen off the island, in Shallotte and along the approach roads. A rental kitchen covers breakfast and, honestly, half of lunch.
